Along with celebrating an amazing year, we want to highlight and celebrate some of the most popular interior design trends of 2019!

We are heading towards the end of this year and about to burst into 2020. Since we have been celebrating 2019 in style and with many wonderful projects, we wanted to share some of the most popular design trends that we saw throughout 2019. We want to highlight how special this year was and to remember these trends.  Just like fashion, so many styles and trends will be lost and forgotten if we don't take the time to remember them. Every new year brings new and exciting trends that can update your home and comfort. Sometimes we see the rise of drastic styles or vintage pieces. Other years are filled with surprise with what our clients want. What do you think were some of the biggest trends in the interior design world of 2019? What do you think will we see in 2020?

Natural Elements
2018 was full of new-age technical trends, inspired by the digital and sleek scientific world around us. 2019 was all about a move back to the natural elements coming inside again. It was all about using natural materials that surround the home and celebrating them in the world inside. It was all about fresh and natural pieces and materials like stone, copper, granite, and concrete. This trend brought a peaceful, organic, and calming feeling inside the home. It reflected the world around the home or the homeowner's favorite place in the world. You no longer had to travel a long distance to find yourself in the most beautiful place you've ever seen. It came to life right inside the home.

Black and White Decor
This is one of the most timeless decorating trends of all time, we were so excited to see it's rise into popularity again. This has always been such a timeless choice, one that should always be considered when redecorating or desiging spaces in your home. It is easy to add to, will never go out of style, and is easy to add other trends to as they grow into popularity. This trend provides a yin and yang feel to any space, a sense of balance, and boldness to your home. We are excited to see how this trend will continue to grow in the years to come.

Geometric Patterns
This was a new trend we found this year. It wasn't just used in floor patterns or something that was used to work into wallpaper or other small elements. It was a functioning trend that was focused on creating an accent design or piece to give the space a pop of color, to bring the space together, and make the room stand out dramatically in the home. We saw oversized patterns and very bold colors in these exciting designs.

Bucket Sinks
This was a vintage re-purposing design trend that we saw come to life in 2019. It was so popular throughout the year, that it wouldn't surprise us if it came back again next year. This trend got it's inspiration from Farm Houses, and is a great addition to homes with families. It adds a great vintage touch to any room and a ton of personality!

Canopy Beds
This trend made its appearance for the first time this year since the late 1980's. One of the reasons we think these beautiful beds became popular again, is due to the popular rise in hotel inspired bedrooms. The self-care rage has also lead to the rise of creating the most comfortable oasis in the home, and this trend has added to it. With the incredible options available, you can find a style that will fit into any room and design, without being overwhelming.

We hope your 2019 was just as exciting and wonderful as ours. We loved sharing these trends with you, and we look forward to seeing what 2020 will bring into our lives and the homes of our clients.
